ode to interior design.

Being out east and all, people really don't understand or i guess grasp the concept of being an interior design major. I guess it's fair to say that it isn't as tough as being a pre-med major or in law school. But it's still one of the toughest majors. They pack you down with projects after projects, while at the same time you're working on the project, you are also loaded with 4 other more projects from different classes at the same time while managing your social life, church calling and other activities if you actually have time for it. Most of the time, you probably will suffer from lack of sleep or in some cases, no sleep at all.

While planning out your projects, you will also have to find the right store, right contacts and right people and the time to work on the said project with. You pay for each of your assignments. You will work hours after hours on each assignment and for some, it's still not good enough. Then, you're required to start back at the beginning, and try and figure out where you went wrong in the first place, which takes countless of hours more and lack of sleep. But somehow in the end, it's really all worth it. All the hours you spent studying and cramming will pay off.

You will make great friendships, bonding over the love of late night auto cad, or modern and historical furnishings and truly relate to your classmates the load of work that you have and of it-there's a seeming continuous no end. Interior Design is all worth it, and you know, we are 90% more likely to be placed then a pre-med major, especially if you live out west; and are more likely to be payed higher-people love spending money on fashion. It never goes out of style.
This is what modern looks like:

This is one of my favorite modern chairs. With Modern Furnishings, they have you memorize chair after chair, how they made it and how to use it in a design setting.I love modern chairs. Here's one of my favorites:
