the finals of an interior design major....

/
So I have to write about the ending of school. It was kind of bittersweet for me. But i was definitely ready for the finals week to be over. The 100-page motif binder needs more explaining. I woke up 7am every morning just to scan magazines that had examples of a chair, column, or other simple examples of historical furnishings--some of which we never even covered or learned about. After the finishing touches, we had to buy sheet covers, the binder, and put it all together in a somewhat hopefully presentation. On top of the binder this week, she had decided to add yet another final individual project on top this. This project, (I actually quite liked) we had to redesign another historical home, in another historical time period and mix it with modern. For this, I choose the Blenheim Palace, redecorated with French and Italian Neo-classical time period pieces and accented rococo chairs.
Anyway, The last week of school is not only the hardest but the funnest. Thursday we had a christmas party with friends, hot cocoa and goodies. Friday, I went over to a friends house for a scentsy night and then off with some other friends to see the temple square lights. The next morning, some of us woke up early for a temple session, and i hoped on a plane to fly home for the holidays!
